Rapid Unplanned Disassembly
I have been writing a series of immersive news-stylized posts in relation to my gameplay while I play Kerbal Space Program. While these could easily be considered fan fiction, I see them as much more than that.
Rapid Unplanned Disassembly is what I have named it after Anski suggested the name. It was rare for me to get a craft into orbit when I first started playing. My designs would go through a rapid and unplanned disassembly while in flight shortly after take off or during the first stage separation. I originally started with a Google Blog before this website was launched, but I have moved most of the content from there to here.
The series does not necessarily have a fully developed storyline that persists throughout, many posts are about the engineering behind the space craft that I launch into space. I often discuss orbital mechanics or science and exploration topics. I also delve into space craft theory and push the envelope of mission profiles.
The series is largely inspired by the 1960s American journalism style surrounding the space race. I find myself typing and reviewing the text that I write in the voice of Walter Cronkite at times.
I invite all of our readers to check it out and let me know what you think! Proceed to Rapid Unplanned Disassembly
